T.I.C DOMINANCY FOR MANY YEARS – WHY?

Our main problem was not incompetent leadership, but rather, how interim leaders acquired leadership particularly at our headquarters. Our constitution provides for decision making organs to meet and pass resolutions which must be implemented by office bearers, but one of such organs is the National Executive Committee which never conducted any meeting for 27 years. The said committee comprises two senior officers from each province including all those at head office; otherwise short of that representation, the meeting will be unconstitutional and therefore invalid. Without such meetings taking place, interim leadership was free to run office as they wished and no one could question their behaviors or actions.

As soon as we acquired leadership, we were faced with two big challenges among many. One was to revive T.I.C legally by paying accumulated statutory fees and penalties; otherwise T.I.C was to be struck from Government Register by Ministry of Home Affairs. Payment of these fees included submission of audited financial reports for outstanding years, and performance reports as well. Second was to revive T.I.C constitutionally by reviving decision making organs so that T.I.C members have power over the leadership and not vice versa.

We therefore toured all provinces and held seminars/meetings to enlighten members on how the constitution works, and their participation to make decisions and resolutions and demand accountability from elected leadership at all levels. Previously to our tour, in December 2019 we conducted first ever National Executive Committee Meeting and among other things, held a short seminar to educate the members on their constitutional power to control T.I.C towards efficiency and accountability because this organ has power to fire any officer or leader who betrays our goals and ethics.

We believe that by involving all members in decision making at different levels, we shall not fall back in the dark pit of dominancy, but we shall work together as team and not as the powerful tycoons who benefited by suppressing the function of our constitution; and indirectly planting their people who worked for them.

🤝 POTENTIAL DONORS

We have plans for various projects and therefore we welcome donors to consolidate our efforts in various areas of their interest. We are required by the Government to submit to the registrar Annual Audited Financial Report which reflected sources of funds, usage of such funds and for which beneficiaries. These requirements demand a perfect accounting System which we immediately installed when we assured leadership, because it never existed before. We opened a new Bank Account and all daily transactions are properly booked.

🏗️ TURNKEY PROJECTS

We also welcome turnkey projects supervised by donors and handed over to T.I.C but such projects should be manageable and beneficial to T.I.C. Otherwise joint ventures are also welcome in some jointly agreed economic areas.
